There is a drop-off area outside the school gates where parents of children old enough to walk in by themselves can drive in, pause briefly to drop children to school and then drive on.

If you need to get out of the car with your child, you must park in one of the designated parking areas and walk your child to the school.

This drop off zone works well if the flow of cars moves smoothly. Parents are reminded not to leave their car parked unattended in the set down area.

Caffrey's pub and restaurant opposite the school has extensive car parking and they have kindly given permission to parents of children at Rathregan NS to use their car park, so please avail of this if the set down area is too busy or your child requires you to walk them in to the school.

The diagram below (click to see full size) shows parking and drop off areas. PLEASE DO NOT park in the areas marked RED. These areas obstruct access and affect visibility to road users creating a hazard.
