The school has a very active Parents Association that is invaluable in providing support to the school in fundraising activities and support to the parent teacher interface. We absolutely rely on the support of parents coming to events we organise and by volunteering and participating!
Thanks to the amazing support of parents and community, this year we have been able to provide the following:-
- New dehumidifying window ventilation system for school hall
- New stage for school hall
- Graded reading scheme system for the whole school
- Lego workshop for all classes
- Friendship bench for school yard
- Intensive clean of the school in the summer holidays
- Subsidised swimming lessons for all classes
- Bright new playground markings
- Leather bookmarks for school book club
- Refreshments for all the school occasions (EG Holy Communion, Sports Day, Leaver's Ceremony)
- Arrange photography and videography for plays and occasions
- End of year surprise ice cream van visit to the children
All of these wonderful improvements to our school have been made possible thanks to the parents and friends of Rathregan NS who support the fundraising events we put on. This year we raised funds via a Christmas Fare, 5K Family Fun Walk, Ladies Dress Sale, Table Quiz Night at Caffrey's not to mention our wonderful School Calendar, which will again be on sale in December 2016.
