The parent body is asked to make a voluntary contribution at the beginning of each academic year. Since 2012 it has been set at €35.00 per child with the proviso that no family pays over €100.00. It is used to cover school costs:

- Teacher Resource Books
- Reading Materials
- Music Resources and Equipment
- Science Resources
- PE Equipment
- Resource and materials for Learning support and Resource Teaching (the Department of Education and Skills no longer provides for this).
- Test Manuals for Problem Solving, Numeracy and Literacy
- Computer Software
- Computer and Computer Room & IWB maintenance
- Data Projector – replacement of bulbs
- Classroom Equipment – markers / folders and teaching materials.
The Art/Craft and Photocopying fee (an additional €25.00 per child) is used to cover and defray the cost of photocopying, printing and the provision of Art and Craft supplies and art materials for all pupils.
The School Capitation Grant, the primary funding by the Department of Education and Skills covers the cost of insurance, heating, fire alarm, electricity, water, school maintenance, grass cutting etc.
